San Diego Proposal: La Jolla

Continuing the trend of gloomy beach proposals!

This past spring was an extremely bizarre one, weather wise. On and off rain, January through June. In fact, this current month of July has probably been the first one this year with some proper sunshine (finally!). Unheard of in Southern California.

But no matter! Despite the unusual gloominess, we still had a blast with this shoot. The shores were empty (the one perk of the gloominess) so we spent the hour walking around the La Jolla area as the couple enjoyed their first time in San Diego. They honestly couldn't have cared less that it was gloomy as they had just come from the heat of Arizona, and they were just happy to be by the beach!

I like to encourage my couples to ignore me and just have fun together and enjoy each other and I'll be there to capture it. Following that philosophy, we got some great shots of their runs along the water :)

Now that the sun seems to be out to stay. in San Diego, hopefully the next beach post will be a sunny one!
